چکیده

The prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) is increasing worldwide, and there are no long-term preventive strategies to stop this growth. Emerging research shows that perturbations in the gut microbiome significantly contribute development T2D, while modulators may be beneficial for T2D prevention. However, effective, safe, affordable, able administered daily not yet available. Based on our previous pro- prebiotic studies, we developed a novel synbiotic yogurt comprised human-origin probiotics plant-based prebiotics investigated its impact diet- streptozotocin-induced mice. We compared effects those commercially available (control yogurt). Interestingly, found feeding reduced hyperglycemia (diabetes) response high-fat diet streptozotocin milk-fed controls. Surprisingly, control exacerbated progression. Synbiotic beneficially modulated microbiota composition milk, negatively it by abundance detrimental bacteria such as Proteobacteria Enterobacteriaceae. In addition, protected pancreatic islet morphology milk control, demonstrated worse islets. These results suggest newly protects against mice can used therapeutic prevent

Synbiotic yogurt production by using prebiotic compounds and probiotic lactobacilli

ABSTRACT: Synbiotic products contain both probiotic bacteria and prebiotic compounds. The aim of this study was to produce a synbiotic yogurt with desirable quality. Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Lactobacillus reuteri along with 1.5% prebiotics including inulin, lactulose, and oligofructose were used to make synbiotic yogurt (2.5% fat). The samples were stored at 4oC for 28 days, and their physic...

Comment on the Newly Developed Consciousness Assessment Scale; AVPU Plus

I read with interest a recent paper in your journal, in which three consciousness assessment scales were compared in poisoned patients and finally a new scale "AVPU plus" was proposed (1). The study was very interesting with a worthy objective. I would like to admire the authors for exploring how the Alert/Verbal/Painful/Unresponsive (AVPU) responsive scale corresponds with the Glasgow Coma Sca...
